After a fairly hectic round of meeting old friends over the past week, I have spent the last two days in what passes for normal working mode here in KL. This involves about 2-3 hours of consultancy work doing stuff on my laptop or on Skype calls with the folks back in the UK and Dublin. The rest of the day is free for lounging by the pool, reading, or doing my Mandarin home work. I can eat out in one of the local restaurants for 10MR (<£2), which includes a large rice based dish, a mango drink and a fruit dessert. So not much incentive to get into home cooking. Impressive nighttime views over the royal palace construction site to the KL skyline.
